On the main level of the cabin is a full stocked kitchen, outdoor grill, fire pit, dining room, living room with wood stove, bathroom, 2 bedrooms with queen beds. The dredge will be on the right, just off of the road. The dredge is powered by two (2) Ingersoll-Rand diesel engines each. It has seventy-one (71) 8 cubic foot buckets each one weighs a little over a ton. The dredge is 988 tons, 112 ft long x 54 ft wide x 64 ft high and has a draft of 8 ft. Drive north for nine miles on Yankee Fork Rd. The Yankee Fork Gold Dredge is one of the best preserved and presented dredges in the lower 48 states. Cabin has been updated over the years but we have attempted to keep the rustic cabin feel. This is a historic cabin located north of Stanley Idaho in the Yankee Fork Valley. While you are there they will teach you how to pan for gold. ![]() Ghost towns, a dredge that you can tour through and a Museum a few miles away. Two large lakes, Redfish Lake and Stanley Lake are 10-20 miles away. Local Rafting company’s taking people on the Salmon River daily. The summer activities of this area are endless. Also on site is the Gold Shack, where every ounce of gold pulled out by the dredge was melted down and stored. Our cabin was the largest cabin and the cabin of the "Dredge Master". The cabin was originally built as a part of the Dredge Camp, housing the workers of the Yankee Fork Dredge and their families. The cabin sits nestled in a valley that is very beautiful. ![]()
